Located in Rushworth, Waranga Health is a 36-bed aged-care facility. The health service includes a four-bed acute care unit, a district nursing service, outpatient ambulatory consulting services and a dedicated palliative care suite and respite bed. Care and treatment are provided 24 hours a day by a talented multidisciplinary team working across a range of medical, nursing and allied health services.

About the role:
The Health Care Worker reports to the Nurse Unit Manager – Waranga Campus and works as an assistant to the health care team, under the direction delegation and supervision of the Aged Care Clinical Coordinator in accordance with the assessed nursing needs of residents and aligned to the professional and clinical judgement of the supervising senior nursing staff.
Successful candidate will have:
- Certificate III in Aged Care
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- A willingness to contribute to quality patient care
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively with other staff, patient and families
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and work ethic
- Basic computer skills.
