We have a large team consisting of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Allied Health Assistants, who are responsible for providing services to the acute & subacute wards, and also the outpatient and community services.

The AHA may assist the Physiotherapy team to deliver client centred services across different areas of the hospital and in the community. The role involves completing a variety of direct and indirect clinical and administrative tasks. The AHA will work within the Physiotherapy Department but occasionally may work or be delegated appropriate tasks under the direction of other Allied Health Professionals such as Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Dietitians and Social Workers. They are integral to the delivery of services across the Physiotherapy Department and inpatient environments. This position, amongst others is responsible for promoting GV Health as a quality regional health service provider.

We are a large team and involve our Allied Health Assistants in our education and competency program for their ongoing learning and upskilling to the hospital environment. We also offer supervision for this role from more senior AHAs or Physiotherapists.
