About the role

In this role you will have a varied day and week, with activities such as completing therapy programs with acute and sub-acute patients, individually and in groups under Speech Pathologist guidance. You will have the opportunity to support patients with their communication and swallowing to achieve their goals. You will work in a collaborative and supportive team and receive supervision and access to professional development. You will also be responsible for administrative tasks including, stocktake and ordering of modified diet supplies, support to Speech Pathologists in their assessments and intervention, as well as general support to the Speech Pathology Department.

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Minimum qualification of Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance from a registered training organisation or a tertiary equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with guidance
• Good organisational skills and computer literacy skills
