The Associate Director Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYMHWS) works in partnership with the ICYMHWS Clinical Director and is responsible for operational, high level leadership and strategic planning for the ICYMHWS and headspace Shepparton services.
The ICYMHWS consists of the following services:
- Infant Child Youth Core Mental Health Wellbeing Services
- Acute Care and Brief Treatment
- Intensive Mobile Youth Outreach Service
- Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Clinic
- Youth Homeless Dual Diagnosis
- Perinatal emotional Health Program
- Early Psychosis Service
- Headspace Shepparton
The Associate Director of ICYMHWS will support and the operational development and implementation of the Hume Youth Prevention Assessment Recovery Care (YPARC) program and will oversee the development of required partnerships to facilitate and monitor the efficacy of the model of care.
The Associate Director ICYMHWS along with the ICYMHWS Clinical Director will ensure a standard of excellence in clinical practice that reflects the vision and goals of GV Health. They will lead change in response to the Royal Commission into Victorian Mental Health System (RCVMHS). Innovation and partnership development will be key in seeking new opportunities for service improvement and development. The role will be responsible for the close monitoring of key performance indicators and meeting performance and other targets. The position will ensure all required policies and procedures are developed or reviewed, implemented, monitored and updated appropriately.
The Associate Director will work with the relevant managers to ensure that the ICYMHWS, headspace and YPARC programs operate within budget and will act in a financially responsible manner. The Associate Director ICYMHWS will develop and maintain organisational relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
The role also supports the Director of Nursing and Operations – GV Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Services to provide clinical oversight, leadership and management to clinical streams across the mental health services. They will work with the Director of Nursing and Operations and leadership team to support the strategic direction of the service and operationalisation of the service plan.
