About the role:

 

The Clinical Director Orthopaedic Surgery will lead the continued development of the Orthopaedic Unit at Goulburn Valley Health (GV Health). This position will be responsible for the overall performance of the Orthopaedic Unit, with a particular emphasis on the provision of a high quality and safe service for the community.  Additionally, this role will lead the work to create and maintain a positive working environment for all medical staff and prepare the department for accreditation for training of orthopaedic registrars.

 

This position will also be a key leadership position for GV Health and provide expertise and advice to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer related to all aspects of the delivery of the best possible orthopaedic service for the community. This position will lead, engage and maintain positive relations with all internal multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

 

 

Successful candidate will have:

 

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Practitioner Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality of service and clinical governance in orthopaedic surgery individually and in group.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability for reflective practice individually and in a group
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold and model the Goulburn Valley Health values
