About the role:

The Mental Health Clinician will be a valued member of the Shepparton Case Management Team working within the setting of a multidisciplinary team practicing a recovery orientated framework to provide a high standard of clinical practice, assessment and intervention. The primary responsibility of the mental health clinician is to provide effective, safe and consumer focused care in the community-based setting. Outreach is required and opportunity to work across sites (Seymour site) is an option.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven ability to undertake consumer focused comprehensive assessment including mental status examination and risk assessment
  • Formulate treatment and risk management plans, considering the wishes of the consumers and carers, for acutely unwell mental health consumers in the community
  • Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act 2014
  • Provide a high-quality service to internal customers and consumers that reflects best practice and adds value to GV Health
