Who are we?
The Greater Shepparton, Strathbogie Moira Mental Adult and Older Adult Health and Wellbeing Local (GSSM Local) is a community focussed service dedicated to supporting adults and older adults to strengthen their wellbeing, build resilience and stay engaged in their communities. As a 'new front door' to people within our community who require mental health and wellbeing support. GSSM Local brings together a multidisciplinary team of lived experience workers, mental health clinicians, and allied health professionals to provide accessible, person-centred and evidence informed services.
About the role:
The Grade 2 Exercise Physiologist is suitable to an experienced and autonomous clinician that provides expert assessment, intervention, and management of participants requiring exercise-based therapy. Therapy is based off participants goals and needs, meaning care is personal and individualised to the participant. To achieve outstanding health and wellbeing outcomes you will work collaboratively with the GSSM Local multidisciplinary care team (MDT) and service participants. What are we looking for?
Working as part of the MDT requires key personal attributes to ensure both personal success in the role but also the overall outcome for participants. We are looking for someone who:
- Works autonomously, but critically as part of a team
- Is a good communicator with their team and service participants
- Has strong insight, reflective practice and problem-solving skills
- Appropriate clinical knowledge and expertise (equivalent to a grade 2 level), Experienced Grades 1’s ready to progress to grade 2 are also encouraged to apply.
- Willingness to learn
- Understands the principles of care, rehabilitation and their application
