About the role 

The Food Service Assistant reports directly to the Food Service Supervisor of Corporate Support Services. The role is to assist in the production and provision of quality meals and beverages to all clients of GV Health.  This role is required to provide meals and beverages that meet nutritional and cultural requirements. It is a mandatory requirement all Food Safety and OHS standards to be observed at all times while performing the functions of a Food Service Assistant

 

The Ideal candidate will be required to hold a current Food Handler’s Certificate, Barista experience and be available to work all rostered shifts across a rotating roster.

Flexibility to work a combination of shifts covering Morning, Afternoon, Evening and nights. These shifts include weekends and public holidays.

 

We are looking for:

  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work productively to work to deadlines

Grade 2 Food Services Assistants will require more than 3 months experience in the industry and have the ability to work with limited supervision.
