Relocating to our region:

About the role

Join the GV Health Occupational Therapy team as part of our Grade 1 program. A perfect opportunity to experience the public and community sector with a supportive team who can equip you with the skills needed for a strong career start.  Build confidence and gain experience under the supervision of experienced Occupational Therapists in the assessment, intervention and discharge planning of those in our care. Each rotation provides a supportive workplace culture within a multidisciplinary team across Acute (Medical, Surgical, Paediatric, Emergency and Intensive Care units), Sub-acute (Rehab, Geriatric Evaluation and Management, and Palliative Care), Community Rehab Centre and Community Health.

 

We offer a comprehensive orientation, along with structured clinical supervision and graduate support programs.

New graduates are welcome, and encouraged to apply.

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with eligibility for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency as an Occupational Therapist
  • Sound understanding of Occupational Therapy practice in the inpatient or community setting, including clinical experience in assessment, intervention and discharge planning of various patient cohorts
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning and professional development, including a positive attitude towards supervision and receiving feedback
