Relocating to our region:

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for providing Occupational Therapy services to in-patients across the acute units. You will provide specialist assessment, treatment and discharge planning to admitted patients in the medical, surgical, paediatric, emergency and intensive care units. Opportunities may also exist to provide services to the sub-acute unit at times.

This role will include

  • Provision of person-centred, evidence-based care
  • Leadership and support for the OT team
  • Collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to support achievement of patient-focused goals
  • Engagement in and facilitation of a robust professional development program and supervision
  • Leadership of continuous quality improvement activities
  • Supervision of students and junior staff

In this role you will be responsible for promoting Goulburn Valley Health as a quality regional health service provider thus ensuring GV Health’s strategic plan, mission and values are upheld. 

 

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with eligibility for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency as an Occupational Therapist
  • Extensive experience providing Occupational Therapy services in the in-patient setting with knowledge of, and the ability to assess, goal set, prescribe interventions and develop effective discharge plans
  • Demonstrated expertise in a clinical specialty of relevance to the acute setting
