About the role:

The position of the Mental Health graduate Enrolled Nurse provides an opportunity for newly graduated enrolled Nurses to work in mental health services. This position is suitable for an enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse who has completed required studies and is interested in providing high quality care to mental health consumers. This is a 12-month position which offers a structured program providing orientation, supervision and support to meet competencies and to engage in autonomous practice 

The Enrolled Nurse assists and works with other mental health staff to organise and co-ordinate quality care for consumers, carers and families in bed-based services. This position supports the transition of Enrolled Nurses into the mental health field including the ongoing learning needs through the support of an Enrolled Nurse Educator.

Suitable applicant will:

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as an Enrolled Nurse
• Self-motivated with high level of communication both written and verbal including computer literacy
• Be willing to participate and complete all aspects of the transition to mental health nursing learning and professional development program
