About the role - Graduate Mental Health Nurse

The graduate mental health nurse assists and works with other mental health staff to organize and co-ordinate quality care for consumers, carers and families who present to Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (GVAMHWS). This position supports the transition of the new graduate registered nurse to independent practice.  This position also supports ongoing  learning needs  with continued studies in mental health that encourages ongoing professional  learning and further post graduate study in mental health.

 

About the Department 

The Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service provides a range of services for members of our community that are experiencing mental health problems and psychological distress. We use a recovery based approach in the provision of care, treatment & support and the clinical tams comprise of medical, nursing, allied health and lived experience workforce.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Current registration with the AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic knowledge of patient management and information systems.
  • Self-motivated with high level of communication, teamwork, time management and organizational skills.
  • Satisfactory National Disability Insurance Scheme Check (if applicable)
