About the role
Reporting to the Divisional Director - Primary Care, if appointed, you will take accountability for the service delivery of holistic, patient-centred care, empowering clients to manage their health within their communities. The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) Home Nursing Services (HNS) is responsible for ensuring the development and maintenance of care standards by providing strong leadership and role modelling. As the NUM HNS, the incumbent has responsibilities in clinical and corporate governance, operational management and strategic implementation, service planning, clinical innovation and risk management. Services offered under the Home Nursing banner include District Nursing, Hospital in the Home, Regional Continence Service and Regional Wounds Service. The Manager Home Nursing Services contributes towards the delivery of safe quality clinical services through the effective leadership and management of the allocated resources within the department. This includes recruitment, transitioning and retention of staff, career development and succession planning, professional learning and development, and the safe and effective utilisation of staffing through appropriate skill mix, patient allocations and models of care.
- This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the behavioural framework and workplace culture, empowering the workforce to embrace innovation, adopt contemporary care models, and explore new service opportunities.
- This is a site-based role operating Monday to Friday during business hours. Some travel between Goulburn Valley Health sites will be required and a current Driver's Licence is a mandatory requirement.
About You:
- With a qualification in nursing, midwifery, allied health, medicine or a related field, and registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA), you're an experienced passionate health leader, with demonstrated success in leading teams in complex environments.
- You demonstrate reflection and insight and have a collaborative mindset. Energetic, enthusiastic and thoughtful, you're seen as an effective leader people seek to follow.
