About the role
Come and join the GV Health Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT), a team with a well renowned supportive workplace culture with an opportunity to work alongside experienced Physiotherapists.

 

Our multidisciplinary team includes Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Social Work and Speech Pathology services, supported by Allied Health Assistants.
A great opportunity to experience the public and community sector with a supportive team who can equip you with the skills needed for a strong career start. In this role you will work autonomously, undertake a varied and diverse workload and provide interventions in predominately home based settings, making a true difference to our client’s independence and well-being. There is no nursing home work.

 

The Podiatrist will provide person centred care with an opportunity to:

  • Work from our community-based clinic, as well as some travel across the Goulburn Valley region to see clients in their home, or other regional clinics
  • Provide clinical assessments, including assessment of neurological and circulatory conditions of the lower limb
  • Provide education to clients and their carers
  • Develop goals and care plans to assist clients to remain at home and active in their local community
  • Work with a diverse range of clients and health conditions
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • A comprehensive orientation program is available, along with supervision and support opportunities

 

We are looking for a Podiatrist with

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry) and eligibility for membership of professional association
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Podiatrist
  • Experience in the delivery of Podiatry services within home, group and community settings to clients with complex presentations, inclusive of complex health conditions, memory impairment, cultural and diverse backgrounds.
  • Skills in wound management, pressure offloading,
  • Experience in providing services with an episodic approach and within a self-management framework and active service model/reablement approach to care delivery.
  • Knowledge of the service system, and ability to liaise and advocate across the full spectrum of health and community services.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, including computer literacy and the ability to produce well-written reports.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as an individual practitioner within an interdisciplinary team environment including the ability to initiate and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • Proven organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage a diverse caseload.
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check on commencement
