About the role:
Goulburn Valley Health Home Nursing Services are seeking experienced, highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurses to enhance our district nursing services. As a Registered Nurse /District Nurse, you will deliver specialized home nursing care, conducting comprehensive assessments of broader care needs for our diverse community within City of Greater Shepparton and surrounding area. Responsible for providing a person-centered model of care to consumers and enhancing the health and independence of consumers and their families.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who has recent experience in community or home nursing care, demonstrating proficiency in working independently, handling varied workloads, and providing interventions primarily in-home settings. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate advanced skills in wound care (or working towards) and experience in acute skills required for Hospital in the Home (HITH)
The successful applicant will have:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to build rapport with consumers and colleagues
- Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in home environments
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Holds or willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check before commencement
- Familiar with the Commonwealth Home Support Program and its operational requirement
- Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and make sound clinical decisions
- Holds a current Australian Driver’s Licence with experience driving on rural and unsealed roads
