About the role:

The Intensive Mobile Youth Outreach Service (IMYOS) is a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health assessments and clinical interventions for young people aged between 12-25 who are experiencing serious mental health disorders. The team will provide a combination of clinic based and outreach appointments (e.g. community, young person’s own home). The team work collaboratively with the young person and their support system.

The Senior IMYOS Clinician is a new role which will work in partnership with consumers, carers, families and other service providers to provide high quality mental health assessments, care coordination and clinical interventions to youth and their families with a serious mental health illness. In addition, it will also provide discipline specific specialist assessments and interventions to clients referred within the team. The incumbent will be a part of the senior leadership team and will work towards providing consistent and effective clinical and operational leadership. 

 

The incumbent will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of enhancements to the model of care for children, youth and families, ensuring practice is in line with contemporary, evidenced based mental health models of care. This Senior IMYOS Clinician is responsible for supporting junior members of the team and members of their discipline.
