About the Role

In this newly created position you will be responsible for providing Social Work services across the acute inpatient units. You will possess comprehensive theoretical knowledge and clinical experience in the assessment and management of patients with diverse and complex social circumstances. This position is responsible for the provision of leadership to the inpatient Social Work team across GV Health and holds a clinical caseload primarily across the acute clinical settings, however is also responsible for providing high quality patient care in the sub-acute clinical setting, emergency department and outpatients as required.

 

The role will require:

  • Provision of person-centred care
  • Leadership and support for the Social Work Team
  • Collaboration across muti-disciplinary teams to support achievement of patient focused goals
  • Leadership of Continuous Quality Improvement Activities
  • Supervision of junior staff and students     

In this role you will be repsonsible for promoting GV Health as a quality regional health service provider, thus ensuring GV Health's strategis plan, mission and values are upheld.

 

We are looking for a Social Worker with:

  • Relevant tertairy qualifications in Social Work with eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Extensive experience providing Social Work services in the acute patient setting
  • Demontrated expertise in an area of Social Work practice or relevance in the acute setting
  • Experience in the provision of clinical supervision
