About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and team centred Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our subacute team in a part-time, parental leave position on the Mary Coram Unit (MCU) at the Graham St campus until January 2026. This role is essential to delivering high-quality Physiotherapy services to a diverse caseload of rehabilitation, geriatric evaluation and management (GEM) and palliative care patients. Whilst largely inpatient based, you may also provide Physiotherapy services to patients in our MCU@Home program as staffing requires.

MCU@Home continues the rehabilitation process in the patient’s home environment, around the Goulburn Valley. It is a bed substitution model to patients who require multidisciplinary, goal-focused rehabilitative or comprehensive GEM care, that is delivered through home-based and virtual care.

As the Grade 2 Subacute Physiotherapist, you will work closely with the Grade 3 Physiotherapy staff and the Physiotherapy Manager to help oversee the delivery of Physiotherapy services on the Mary Coram Unit. You will provide support to the grade 1 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, undergraduate Physiotherapy students, and the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will provide clinical expertise to complex cases, support staff supervision, assist with relevant competency and in-service training, and be assist with departmental and organisation quality projects and/or working groups to enhance the delivery of high-quality Physiotherapy services to subacute patients.

We are seeking a motivated team player within the multi-disciplinary team and the wider GV Health Physiotherapy team who embodies the GV Health values in their daily working life, has exceptional communication skills and provides excellent patient care and advocacy.
